We are here to inspire and spread beauty to people around the world. Started by two teen friends. :)

Beauty/Confidence Post #1

Hey everyone. This is something that I want to break into several little blogs because if I shove it into one huge blog, it’ll be novel length and I don’t want to overwhelm anyone. Also, I think it’ll be easier for me.

A lot of you have told us that you aren’t happy with yourselves, your bodies, have almost no confidence, etc. Hopefully after reading what I have to say, you’ll find a way to improve all of that.

I have to say though, that I can give you all of the advice in the world, but I can’t force you to change yourself. That may sound a bit harsh, but it is kind of true. I’m here to help you though so I hope you’ll at least consider some of what I’m about to tell you.

I won’t lie and say it’ll be easy, because it won’t. It will be a challenge. Patience is key, especially when it comes to building your confidence level, but I can almost PROMISE you it’ll be worth it. I want you to know that pretty much every person out there who can proudly stand and up and say they’re beautiful has some form of confidence. BEAUTY=CONFIDENCE

To be confident though, you have to love yourself. You have to admit to yourself that you deserve love and respect. And to do that, it’s important to embrace and accept our flaws and who we are as people. No one is perfect. We live in a world where models’ bodies on magazine covers are photoshopped to look “perfect.” Everyone was made unique and different for a reason though and there is no reason not to be proud of being different from others. There is no one in the world like you. You are special. You are YOU. Confidence is all about embracing the fact that YOU are YOU.

Also, everyone is insecure at some point. If you find yourself putting yourself down a lot and focusing on what is “wrong” with you, please remember that by doing so, it doesn’t give anyone else a chance to see what is great about you. There is at least ONE great thing about everyone, whether he/she admits it or not. Let it shine for others to see. Replace a negative thought with a positive one. It’ll help.

Every week, I’ll talk about a different way to help boost your confidence. Keep in mind that these are just suggestions that may or may not work. Chances are, they will. Just be patient because it may take some time. Leah and I both have faith in all of you. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND YOU ARE WORTH IT. Don’t let your imperfections and flaws stop you from believing it.

Remember that confidence comes from within and everyone has it in them. Sometimes, you just have to dig a little deeper to find it.

With love,

Project Beauty
